KEEPING YOUR CAR SECURE
Now the clocks have gone back the nights are longer and this gives criminals more opportunities to commit crime under the cover of darkness!
As well as making sure your car windows and doors are locked, without any valuables inside, if you have key less entry on your vehicle, there are additional tips to consider when it comes to securing your car:
1. Box It - place your keys in a metal tin to block the signal it emits from travelling any further. 2. Bag It - another option is to purchase a signal-blocking pouch and keep your keys in this when they’re not in use. 3. Block It - as an extra security measure, where possible, consider using other vehicles to block your key less car in so it can’t be easily driven away. 4. Lock it - use old school security, such as a steering lock or wheel clamp to prevent the vehicle from being moved even if they gain entry.
