Officers were out on London Road and Parlaunt Road today carrying out checks on vehicles to confirm that they had valid insurance policies in place.  A number of drivers were spoken to and dealt with for traffic offences.

We are committed to tackling motoring offences in Langley and will take robust enforcement action where appropriate.  Anyone caught driving without valid insurance will receive 6 penalty points and a fine and have their vehicle seized by police.

Research shows us that around 1 in 7 drivers are driving without correct insurance.  Please take some time to check that you have a valid insurance policy - particularly when driving a car that belongs to a friend or family member, as we often stop people that think they are covered but in actual fact they're not!
