Thames Valley Police have received a report from a resident of Essex Street, the report states that a male unknown to them has taken payment for services he claimed were required, no work is known to have taken place. a large sum of money has been paid to this male who claims to run a legitimate business although no business name has been provided. 

If you are approached by anyone requesting money for any services you have not requested yourself, we would advise no payment is made. If you have had a service completed, it would be expected that you have an invoice, a receipt or a quote as a minimum. 

If you have any concerns, please contact 101, if any payments have already been made and you are concerned this is not for genuine goods and or services please contact Action Fraud on 0300 1232040 or via their website on Action Fraud
