Crime Prevention and Safeguarding Tips:

  • Lock up: Always ensure your sheds, garages, and outbuildings are securely locked. Use sturdy padlocks or deadbolts.
  • Install lighting: Motion-sensor lights can deter criminals by illuminating areas around your property.
  • Security cameras: Installing CCTV or video doorbells can help monitor suspicious activity.
  • Mark valuables: Engrave or mark tools and equipment with your postcode or use UV pens. This makes stolen items easier to trace.
  • Alarm systems: Consider installing an alarm in your shed or garage.
  • Don't leave valuables in view: Keep expensive equipment and tools out of sight from windows.
  • Join a neighbourhood watch: Stay informed and support each other by reporting any suspicious activity.
