Appeal for witnesses following two assaults – Oxford


Dear Resident

 

We're appealing for witnesses following two assaults in Oxford. 

On Thursday (29/8) at 10.15pm on Old Road, Headington, a woman, in her fifties, was approached by a man who punched her in the head causing her to almost fall into the road. 

The victim sustained injuries to the head, and further hospital treatment was required, but she has since been discharged.

On Wednesday (28/8) between 11.45pm and 12.05am on Crescent Road a woman, in her twenties, was approached by a man who proceeded to punched her in the face. 

The victim sustained bruising to the face, but no hospital treatment was required.

The offender is described as a white male, between the age of 18 and 30 years-old. In the incident on Old Road, he was described as wearing a black hoodie with the hood up, a light coloured face covering and trousers. In the incident on Crescent Road, he was described as wearing a red hoodie with the hood up, a dark scarf covering his face and back pack. In both instances, the offender was riding a light coloured/silver mountain bike.
