Appeal for witnesses following a series of robberies – Reading

Dear Resident

We're appealing for information following a series of robberies in Reading.

The incidents occurred between 11.30pm yesterday (30/6) and 12.30am today (1/7) around the Queens Road and Reading Bridge area of Caversham.

The first victim, a man in his thirties, was approached by a man along the towpath near Hills Meadow car park and was asked to take off his clothes and hand over his phone and wallet. The victim refused and was then further threatened with a knife. The victim then handed over their clothes and belongings to the offender, who then chased the victim for a short while before stopping.

Shortly after this incident, another two victims, a man and woman both in their thirties, were robbed by a man of the same description in a similar way on the towpath off Queens Road.
