Crime Incidents – Windsor West

Please note that incidents relating to thefts which have occurred from a motor vehicle are being investigated by our Priority crime team. They have many lines of enquiries ongoing at this time.

Theft of a pedal bikeParking area at Tivoli12/06/2024Bicycle was parked at owner’s place of work and on his return, it had been taken. This has since been located and returned to the owner.
Suspicious vehicle1 Broadleys Sawyers Close, Windsor12/06/2024A vehicle was parked with both passenger doors open and no one in sight. Ten minutes later the person reported the vehicle was still in the same state. He said this seemed odd to leave a car open and unattended. No reports of a crime being committed, so this will be filed.
Criminal DamageDedworth Road, Windsor12/06/2024Red crosses have been painted on roundabouts and zebra crossings. TVP are working with RBWM around this.
TheftWhite Horse Road, Windsor13/06/2024A parcel has been delivered, but appears to have been stolen from the doorstep. Crime reference received to start insurance claim.
Suspicious personKentons Lane, Windsor13/06/2024Caller has reported that he saw two people looking around and underneath his motorcycle, he believes so they can come back to steal it. CCTV taken by police and a home visit has been carried out to explain how the vehicle can be safeguarded.
Suspicious vehicleBourne Avenue/Bolton Road, Windsor14/06/2024Caller has reported a car has been left running for over an hour, with no one inside. Vehicle is a white Vauxhall Corsa. Filed as no crimes reported.
Criminal damageForest Road, Windsor15/06/2024Caller has reported her bathroom window has been broken during the night. No evidence found to be able to investigate. Filed.
Theft from a motor vehicleLongmead, Windsor15/06/2024Caller has reported that her car has been entered and her purse was stolen. 
Theft from a motor vehicleHayse Hill, Windsor14/06/2024 – 15/06/2024Overnight a vehicle, which was left unlocked has been opened and clearly rummaged through. Sunglasses stolen and the plastic trim has been removed as if an attempt to hot wire the car to steal it has been made. CCTV obtained.
Theft from a motor vehicleClifton Rise, Windsor14/06/2024 – 15/06/2024Vehicle was locked and secured but during the evening, the car has been opened and a number of items have been stolen, including a laptop.
Criminal damageSt Leonard’s Road, Windsor16/06/2024Caller has reported hearing a bang and looking out to see her car has a small hole in the back windscreen. She believed this to be from a bullet. Speaking to witnesses, they didn’t see anyone near the car and it could have been a stone was thrown up as another car drove past. CCTV to be viewed to ascertain the circumstances.
TheftBuckland Crescent, Windsor16/06/2024A parcel has been delivered but appears to have been stolen before the owner arrived home. This has happened to this person before, and they believe the area is being targeted for this type of crime.
Theft from a motor vehicleIllingworth, Windsor17/06/2024 – 18/06/2024Caller has reported a theft from their vehicle and golf clubs and bag have been stolen, as well as a spare key to his garage. This is being investigated by our Priority Crime Team, as there have been other similar crimes in the area and appear to have been carried out by the same offender.
TheftDedworth Road, Windsor13/06/2024 – 14/06/2024The padlock on a Salvation Army clothes donation bank has been removed and a new lock fitted. Presumably, this is to prevent the correct people from empting the contents. Then at a later date, this will be taken and sold illegally.  Caller reports this is happening regularly round the country at many of the recycling sites. The victim has been informed this we be filed pending further enquiries coming to light.
Theft from a motor vehicleBolton Road, Windsor17/06/2024 – 18/06/2024Owner has found her car had been searched through, and the contents of the glovebox were on the front seat. No signs of forced entry, a fuel card has been stolen.
Theft from a motor vehiclePeel Close, Windsor17/06/2024Caller has reported they have CCTV footage of a male attempting to break into cars and trying door handles.
