Hello Resident,

We are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in High Wycombe.

At around 6.45pm on Friday 29 March, the victim, a man in his thirties, was walking on a footpath in The Rye between the Lido café and Warren Wood Drive.

The victim was approached by an unknown man who punched him in the chest area and tried to grab the chain which was around his neck.

The victim defended himself, but later noticed he suffered a superficial stab wound, which required hospital treatment. He has since been discharged.

The offender is described as a white man, between 6ft 1ins and 6ft 2ins tall and of slim build. He had a black or brown coloured beard and was wearing dark clothing.

Anyone with information which could help our investigation, please call 101 or make a report via our website, quoting reference number 43240145532.
