Chief Inspector Rob Platt has been appointed as the new Deputy Commander for the Cherwell & West Oxfordshire Local Policing Area (LPA).

This month, Chief Inspector Rob Platt has started his new role taking over from Chief Inspector James Sullivan.

C/Insp Platt joined Thames Valley Police in 2009 after transferring from West Midlands Police, where he worked for 8 years as a response officer and as a detective in various roles. Since joining Thames Valley Police, C/Insp Platt has worked in both uniform and detective roles at each rank. Most recently working as a Detective Inspector in the Cherwell & West Oxfordshire Priority Crime Team tackling serious acquisitive crime, knife crime and the disruption of county drugs lines.
