Appeal for witnesses to assault – Abingdon


We are appealing for witnesses to an assault in Abingdon.

The victim, a woman in her sixties, was running along the cycle track on Peep O’Day Lane at around 3.30pm on Monday (5/2) when she was hit from behind by a man on a bike.

The victim did not sustain any injuries.

The offender is described as a white man in his late teens to early twenties. He was wearing a black jacket with his hood up, a dark face mask and carrying a camouflage backpack.

Investigating officer PC Matthew Glen said: “I am appealing for witnesses to this assault to please come forward.
