NEIGHBOURHOOD WATCH MEETING RECORDING

Alert message sent 25/06/2021 13:27:00

Information sent on behalf of Neighbourhood Watch

As we were limited to 100 participants on Zoom, I could only invite Co-ordinators to attend my virtual Neighbourhood Watch meeting on 14 June.   I am now able to forward the link to the recording so that all Co-ordinators, Deputies and Residents on the database can watch the meeting and this can be forwarded to members of your scheme.

This is the link to the recording:

I am also attaching Mark Godsland’s PowerPoint Cyber Aware presentation. If you participated in the online meeting, Mark has asked if you could please kindly fill in his very short online but anonymous engagement survey in the separate attachment.

Superintendent Zahid Aziz, Area Commander for West Berkshire has forwarded me a document re Electric Scooters, which is attached.

Bike Register information:

As so many bicycles are being stolen, can you please register your bikes on www.bikeregister.com as if your bike gets lost or stolen and is found, the Police check this website and can then trace it back to you plus if a resident finds one, they can also check on this website.  Also bikes and other items can be registered on www.immobilise.com. There is no charge on either website.

It is important for all bike owners to register their bikes, as besides helping to get your bike back if stolen and found abandoned, it also helps with finding out your identity if you are involved in an accident on your bike.

If you would like to set up a No Cold Calling Zone in your area, please contact Malcolm Phillips at Trading Standards as Clive Robinson will be leaving shortly.  Malcolm will arrange for information to be sent to you.   Malcolm’s email address is:  malcolm.phillips@westberks.gov.uk

If you need any advice, replacement signs etc in the future, I can be contacted via my e-mail:  ajmy5m7@inbox.com or by phoning Newbury 40866 or 07774962641.   Please contact me if you do not have a Neighbourhood Watch scheme in your road and I can send you some information on how to set one up.

Best wishes
