Appeal for witnesses following assault


Dear Resident,

We are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Reading.

Between 1.30am and 2.45am on Saturday (16/11) in a bar on Gun Street, a woman was attacked by three women. During the incident, a woman received cuts, bruises and swelling to her face which required hospital treatment. She has since been discharged.

The first offender is described as a black woman in her early twenties. She was of large build and was wearing black clothing and high heels. The two other offenders are both described as short white women in their early twenties, and of large builds.

Investigating officer PC Ashley Hickman said: “I am appealing for any witnesses to this assault incident to please come forward.

“A woman has suffered injuries following an unprovoked assault on Gun Street.

“Anyone with information or footage relating to the incident should call 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference number 43240554688.

“Alternatively, for anonymity, you can also call the independent charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 or via its website.”
