We are appealing for witnesses following an attempted robbery in Summertown, Oxford.

The incident occurred at around 4.50pm on Monday (22/4) at the junction of Portland Road and Lonsdale Road.

A group of four male offenders approached the victim, a boy in his teens, and took him to an alleyway where they threatened him with a knife and demanded he hand over his trainers.

The victim managed to escape and entered a taxi on Lonsdale Road.
